PERRY -- read once and referred to the Committee on Cities AN ACT to require certain uses of class B multiple dwelling to undergo a petition and public hearing process with the relevant community board THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM- BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Notwithstanding any law to the contrary, the operation of any class B multiple dwelling as defined by subdivision 9 of section 4 of the multiple dwelling law that rents or leases units for a period of less than twelve hours located on or within two hundred fifty feet of a parcel of land zoned for residential use or a school shall require a petition to be filed with and approved by the community board for the area where such housing is to be located. The community board shall, not later than forty-five days after receipt of such petition, conduct a public hearing thereon and render a decision within thirty days of such public hearing as to whether such multiple dwelling may operate. § 2.
