JOYNER -- read once and referred to the Committee on Higher Education AN ACT to amend the education law, in relation to state aid for certain community colleges THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM- BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Paragraph b of subdivision 1 of section 358 of the educa- tion law, as amended by chapter 698 of the laws of 1948 and as relet- tered by chapter 782 of the laws of 1966, is amended to read as follows: b. Community colleges, PROVIDED THAT SUCH COMMUNITY COLLEGE PROVIDES AN EDUCATIONAL OPPORTUNITY PROGRAM, AS PRESCRIBED BY SECTION SIX THOU- SAND FOUR HUNDRED FIFTY-TWO OF THIS CHAPTER. § 2. This act shall take effect on the ninetieth day after it shall become a law. EXPLANATION--Matter in ITALICS (underscored) is new; matter in brackets [ ] is old law to be omitted. LBD10098-01-7
