VANEL -- read once and referred to the Committee on Economic Development AN ACT to amend the general business law, in relation to increasing the trademark registration and renewal fee from fifty dollars to one hundred dollars THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM- BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Section 360-p of the general business law, as added by chapter 319 of the laws of 1996, is amended to read as follows: § 360-p. Fees. The application for registration or renewal shall be accompanied by a filing fee [or fifty] OF ONE HUNDRED dollars payable to the secretary of state. § 2. This act shall take effect immediately. EXPLANATION--Matter in ITALICS (underscored) is new; matter in brackets [ ] is old law to be omitted. LBD02072-01-7
