CUSICK -- read once and referred to the Committee on Health AN ACT to amend the public health law, in relation to requiring the department of health to assign at least one investigator of the bureau of narcotics enforcement to each county within a city having a popu- lation of one million or more THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM- BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Section 3385 of the public health law is amended by adding a new subdivision 3 to read as follows: 3. THE DEPARTMENT SHALL ASSIGN AND EMPLOY NOT LESS THAN ONE INVESTI- GATOR OF THE BUREAU OF NARCOTICS ENFORCEMENT TO ENFORCE THE PROVISIONS OF THIS ARTICLE IN EACH COUNTY WITHIN A CITY HAVING A POPULATION OF ONE MILLION OR MORE. § 2. This act shall take effect immediately. EXPLANATION--Matter in ITALICS (underscored) is new; matter in brackets [ ] is old law to be omitted. LBD02361-01-7
