KIM, D'URSO, LUPINACCI, M. G. MILLER, WILLIAMS -- Multi-Sponsored by -- M. of A. KEARNS -- read once and referred to the Committee on Tourism, Parks, Arts and Sports Development AN ACT creating the "Empire region cricket board" that will promote and grow the game of cricket in the tri-state area THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM- BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Empire region cricket board. The empire region cricket board is hereby established to promote and grow the game of cricket in the tri-state area. § 2. Composition. The board shall consist of thirteen members. The board members will have experience and expertise in the game of cricket. The board shall consist of: one member appointed by the governor; one member appointed by the temporary president of the senate; one member appointed by the minority leader of the senate; one member appointed by the speaker of the assembly; one member to be appointed by the minority leader of the assembly; four members to be appointed by the governor of New Jersey; and four members to be appointed by the governor of Connec- ticut. § 3. This act shall take effect upon the enactment into law by the state of New Jersey and the state of Connecticut of legislation having an identical effect; but if the state of New Jersey and the state of Connecticut shall have already enacted such legislation, then this act shall take effect immediately and provided that the state of New Jersey and the state of Connecticut shall notify the legislative bill drafting commission upon the occurrence of the enactment of the provisions provided for in this act in order that the commission may maintain an accurate and timely effective database of the official text of the laws of the state of New York in furtherance of effectuating the provisions of section 44 of the legislative law and section 70-b of the public officers law.
