COLTON, RIVERA, ABBATE -- read once and referred to the Committee on Transportation AN ACT to amend the vehicle and traffic law, in relation to requiring evening court hours for parking violations THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM- BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Subdivision 2 of section 240 of the vehicle and traffic law is amended by adding a new paragraph h to read as follows: H. NOTWITHSTANDING ANY OTHER PROVISION OF LAW, RULE OR REGULATION, IN A CITY WITH A POPULATION OF ONE MILLION OR MORE, ONE TRAFFIC VIOLATION BUREAU OFFICE, AT ITS PRINCIPAL PLACE OF BUSINESS, SHALL MAKE AVAILABLE HEARING EXAMINERS TO CONDUCT HEARINGS UNTIL 7:00 P.M. ONE EVENING EACH WEEK. § 2. This act shall take effect on the ninetieth day after it shall have become a law.
