 AN ACT to amend the real property tax law,  in  relation  to  subjecting
   certain state lands in Orange county to real property taxation
 
   THE  PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM-
 BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:
 
   Section 1. Subdivision (b) of section 532 of the real property tax law
 is amended to read as follows:
   (b) All wild or forest lands owned by the state in the towns of Altona
 and Dannemora, Clinton county, except the lands in the town of Dannemora
 upon which buildings and inclosures are erected and  maintained  by  the
 state  for  the use of state institutions, AND IN THE TOWNS OF NEW WIND-
 SOR, NEWBURGH AND MONTGOMERY, ORANGE COUNTY;
   § 2. This act shall take effect immediately and shall apply to assess-
 ment rolls prepared on the basis of taxable status  dates  occurring  on
 and after the date on which this act shall have become a law.

 AN  ACT  to  amend  the real property tax law, in relation to subjecting
   certain state lands to real property taxation

   THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND  ASSEM-
 BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:
 
   Section 1. The section heading and subdivision 1 of section 534 of the
 real  property tax law, the section heading as amended by chapter 736 of
 the laws of 1962 and subdivision 1 as amended by chapter 351 of the laws
 of 1977, are amended to read as follows:
   Certain state lands subject to taxation for all purposes [except coun-
 ty purposes]. 1. Lands owned by the  state  acquired  for  reforestation
 purposes  pursuant  to  section 9-0501 of the environmental conservation
 law shall be  subject  to  taxation  for  all  purposes  [except  county
 purposes].
   § 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
