BILL NUMBER: S2609 TITLE OF BILL : An act to amend the general city law, the town law and the village law, in relation to requiring residential facilities of state agencies to maintain on file and make accessible a facility site plan PURPOSE : To ensure that all state owned residential facilities maintain on file and make accessible a facility site plan. SUMMARY OF PROVISIONS : Section 1 - Amends section 27-a of the general city law by adding a new subdivision 1-a to direct every residential facility under state agency control to have accessible a facility site plan. Section 2 - Amends section 274-a of the town law by adding a new subdivision 1-a to direct every residential facility under state agency control to have accessible a facility site plan. Section 3 - Amends section 7-725-a of the village law by adding a new subdivision 1-a to direct every residential facility under state agency control to have accessible a facility site plan.

LITTLE, AVELLA -- read twice and ordered printed, and when printed to be committed to the Committee on Cities AN ACT to amend the general city law, the town law and the village law, in relation to requiring residential facilities of state agencies to maintain on file and make accessible a facility site plan THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM- BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Section 27-a of the general city law is amended by adding a new subdivision 1-a to read as follows: 1-A. AVAILABILITY OF SITE PLAN. EVERY RESIDENTIAL FACILITY UNDER THE CONTROL OF A STATE AGENCY SHALL KEEP ON FILE AT SUCH RESIDENTIAL FACILI- TY AND HAVE ACCESSIBLE A FACILITY SITE PLAN. UPON REQUEST, THE RESIDEN- TIAL FACILITY SITE PLAN SHALL BE MADE AVAILABLE TO THE LOCAL MUNICIPAL GOVERNING BODY AND EMERGENCY RESPONDERS. FOR THE PURPOSES OF THIS SUBDI- VISION, "STATE AGENCY" MEANS ANY DEPARTMENT, BUREAU, COMMISSION, BOARD, PUBLIC AUTHORITY OR OTHER AGENCY OF THE STATE, INCLUDING ANY PUBLIC BENEFIT CORPORATION ANY MEMBER OF WHOSE BOARD IS APPOINTED BY THE GOVER- NOR. § 2. Section 274-a of the town law is amended by adding a new subdivi- sion 1-a to read as follows: 1-A. AVAILABILITY OF SITE PLAN.
