MARCELLINO -- read twice and ordered printed, and when printed to be committed to the Committee on Cultural Affairs, Tourism, Parks and Recreation AN ACT to amend the arts and cultural affairs law, in relation to chang- ing New York state history month from November to October THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM- BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Subdivision 1 of section 57.02 of the arts and cultural affairs law, as added by chapter 113 of the laws of 1997, is amended to read as follows: 1. Each month of [November] OCTOBER following the effective date of [this section] THE CHAPTER OF THE LAWS OF TWO THOUSAND EIGHTEEN THAT AMENDED THIS SUBDIVISION shall be designated as New York state history month. § 2. This at shall take effect immediately. EXPLANATION--Matter in ITALICS (underscored) is new; matter in brackets [ ] is old law to be omitted. LBD14175-01-8
