 Introduced  by  Sen.  COMRIE -- read twice and ordered printed, and when
   printed to be committed to the Committee on Transportation
 
 AN ACT to amend the public authorities law,  in  relation  to  providing
   notification  to  customers  of  bed  bug infestations on MTA subways,
   trains and buses
 
   THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND  ASSEM-
 BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:
 
   Section  1.  The  public  authorities  law  is amended by adding a new
 section 1266-l to read as follows:
   § 1266-L. NOTIFICATION OF BED BUG INFESTATIONS.  THE  AUTHORITY  SHALL
 ESTABLISH  A  SYSTEM  TO  NOTIFY  CUSTOMERS  OF  BED BUG INFESTATIONS ON
 SUBWAYS, TRAINS AND BUSES, WITHIN TWENTY-FOUR HOURS OF DISCOVERING  SUCH
 INFESTATION.  SUCH  SYSTEM MAY INCLUDE NOTIFICATION THROUGH THE AUTHORI-
 TY'S WEBPAGE, OR BY EMAIL OR TEXT MESSAGE.
   § 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
