 Introduced  by  Sen. BONACIC -- read twice and ordered printed, and when
   printed to be committed to the Committee on Education
 
 AN ACT authorizing and directing the commissioner of education to disre-
   gard any reduction in aid to Fallsburg central school district due  to
   attendance
 
   THE  PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM-
 BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:
 
   Section 1. Notwithstanding the fact  that  the  pupils  attending  the
 Fallsburg  central  school  district  were  only  in  attendance for one
 hundred seventy-nine days in the 2016--2017 school year, the commission-
 er of education is authorized and directed to disregard the reduction of
 state aid required pursuant to section 3604 of  the  education  law  and
 shall  pay  such  school  district its apportionment as if the Fallsburg
 central school district had been in session for the required one hundred
 eighty days.
   § 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
