BILL NUMBER: S8961 SPONSOR: HELMING TITLE OF BILL: An act in relation to authorizing the town of Webster, county of Monroe to alienate and convey certain parcels of land used as parklands PURPOSE: To authorize the Town of Webster to transfer a parcel of land to the Webster Central School District to be used for an athletic field. SUMMARY OF PROVISIONS: Section 1: Authorizes the Town of Webster to discontinue as parklands and alienate certain land and to sell and convey such land at fair market value to Webster Central School District. HELMING -- read twice and ordered printed, and when printed to be committed to the Committee on Rules AN ACT in relation to authorizing the town of Webster, county of Monroe to alienate and convey certain parcels of land used as parklands THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM- BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Subject to the provisions of this act, the town of Webster, county of Monroe, acting by and through its governing body, is hereby authorized to discontinue as parklands and alienate the lands more particularly described in section three of this act, and to sell and convey such lands at fair market value to the Webster Central School District, county of Monroe, for the purposes of extending the school's sports and recreational fields. § 2. The authorization contained in section one of this act shall take effect only upon the condition that the town of Webster, county of Monroe, shall acquire and dedicate an amount equal to or greater than the fair market value of the parklands being discontinued towards the acquisition of new parklands or towards capital improvements to existing parkland and recreational facilities. § 3. The parkland to be alienated, commonly known as "Town of Webster Park Parcel", consists of a total of 6.695 acres and is more particular- ly described as follows: THAT TRACT OR PARCEL OF LAND situate in the Town of Webster, County of Monroe and State of New York, bounded and described as follows: COMMENC- ING at the centerline intersection of Boulter Industrial Parkway and Basket Road-County Road 4; thence S88°23'29"W, along the centerline of said Boulter Industrial Parkway, a distance of 913.00 feet to a point; thence S01°36'31"E, a distance of 30.00 feet to a point; then S88°23'29"W, a distance of 25.00 feet to a point; thence along a curve to the left, having a delta angle of 51°57'22", a radius of 170.00 feet, and an arc length of 154.16 feet, said curve also having a chord of S62°24'57"W 148.93 feet to a point; thence along a curve to the right, having a delta angle of 52"28'47", a radius of 330.00 feet and an arc length of 302.26 feet, said curve also having a chord of S63°06'47"W EXPLANATION--Matter in ITALICS (underscored) is new; matter in brackets
