WILLIAMS -- read once and referred to the Commit- tee on Health AN ACT to amend the public health law, in relation to requiring certain individuals to wait twenty-four hours before getting a face tattoo THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM- BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. The public health law is amended by adding a new section 468 to read as follows: § 468. FACE TATTOO; RESTRICTIONS. NO OWNER, OPERATOR OR EMPLOYEE OF A TATTOO STUDIO SHALL PERMIT A TATTOO TO BE PLACED ON THE FACE OF A PERSON BETWEEN EIGHTEEN AND TWENTY-ONE YEARS OF AGE UNLESS SUCH PERSON HAS WAITED A MINIMUM OF TWENTY-FOUR HOURS AFTER MAKING SUCH TATTOO REQUEST. § 2. This act shall take effect on the sixtieth day after it shall have become a law. EXPLANATION--Matter in ITALICS (underscored) is new; matter in brackets [ ] is old law to be omitted. LBD15501-01-0
