SIMOTAS -- read once and referred to the Commit- tee on Health AN ACT to amend the public health law, in relation to family accommo- dations in places of entertainment THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM- BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. The public health law is amended by adding a new section 2509 to read as follows: § 2509. FAMILY ACCOMMODATIONS. 1. UNLESS IT CAN BE DEMONSTRATED THAT FAMILY ACCOMMODATIONS ARE NOT READILY ACHIEVABLE, AS REFERENCED IN SECTION TWO HUNDRED NINETY-SIX OF THE EXECUTIVE LAW, ALL PLACES OF ENTERTAINMENT, AS DEFINED IN PARAGRAPH (I) OF SUBDIVISION ONE OF SECTION 23.03 OF THE ARTS AND CULTURAL AFFAIRS LAW, SHALL PROVIDE THE FOLLOWING FAMILY ACCOMMODATIONS: (A) HIGH CHAIRS AND BOOSTER SEATS; (B) CHANGING TABLES IN ALL PUBLIC RESTROOMS; (C) CHILD PROTECTION SEATS DESIGNED TO MOUNT ON THE WALL OF A RESTROOM STALL IN ALL RESTROOMS; (D) A PRIVATE ROOM, POD OR OTHER LOCATION FOR THE PURPOSE OF EXPRESSION OF BREAST MILK OR NURSING, NOT INCLUDING A RESTROOM OR TOILET STALL, WITH AT LEAST ONE ELECTRICAL OUTLET, A CLEAN WATER SUPPLY AND A DOOR WITH A FUNCTIONAL LOCK; (E) STROLLER PARKING; (F) DESIGNATED PARKING SPACES FOR PREGNANT WOMEN OR FAMILIES WITH CHILDREN IN PARKING AREAS FOR EMPLOYEES OR CUSTOMERS; AND (G) PRIORITY LANES FOR PARENTS WITH CHILDREN, DISABLED, ELDERLY, OR PREGNANT CUSTOMERS. 2. MUNICIPAL BUILDING INSPECTORS OR LOCAL CODE ENFORCEMENT OFFICIALS SHALL ENFORCE THE PROVISIONS OF THIS SECTION AS PART OF THEIR EXISTING INSPECTION PROCESS. § 2.
