 AN  ACT  to  amend  a  chapter  of  the laws of 2018 amending the social
   services law relating to requiring residential health care  facilities
   and  adult  homes  to  advise current and prospective residents of the
   financial condition of the facility, as proposed in legislative  bills
   numbers S.766 and A.8159, in relation to requiring notification of the
   appointment of a temporary operator in certain adult care facilities
 
   THE  PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM-
 BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:
 
   Section 1. Subdivision 17 of section 460-d of the social services law,
 as amended by a chapter of the laws of 2018 amending the social services
 law relating to requiring residential health care facilities  and  adult
 homes  to  advise  current  and  prospective  residents of the financial
 condition of the facility, as  proposed  in  legislative  bills  numbers
 S.766 and A.8159, is amended to read as follows:
   17.  The  department of health shall DIRECT THE TEMPORARY OPERATOR TO,
 AND THE TEMPORARY OPERATOR SHALL, provide written notification to  resi-
 dents  of  all  adult  homes,  enriched housing programs, residences for
 adults and assisted living programs where a temporary operator has  been
 appointed pursuant to subdivision four of this section.
   §  2.  This  act  shall  take  effect on the same date and in the same
 manner as a chapter of the laws of 2018 amending the social services law
 relating to requiring residential health care facilities and adult homes
 to advise current and prospective residents of the  financial  condition
 of  the  facility,  as  proposed  in legislative bills numbers S.766 and
 A.8159, takes effect.
