BARRON, TAYLOR -- read once and referred to the Committee on Governmental Operations AN ACT relating to the name and character of the Dr. John Henrik Clarke House in Harlem, New York THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM- BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Notwithstanding any law, rule or regulation to the contra- ry, the Dr. John Henrik Clarke House, a landmark structure located at 286 Convent Avenue, Harlem, New York 10031, shall henceforth remain a cultural and educational institution and shall retain the name of "the Dr. John Henrik Clarke House" in perpetuity. ยง 2. This act shall take effect immediately. EXPLANATION--Matter in ITALICS (underscored) is new; matter in brackets [ ] is old law to be omitted. LBD00395-01-9
