S T A T E O F N E W Y O R K ________________________________________________________________________ 8810 2019-2020 Regular Sessions I N A S S E M B L Y November 25, 2019 ___________ Introduced by M. of A. ABINANTI -- read once and referred to the Commit- tee on Transportation AN ACT in relation to authorizing the village of Dobbs Ferry to reduce the speed limit to 20 miles per hour on village roads THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM- BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Notwithstanding any general, special or local law or code to the contrary, the village board of the village of Dobbs Ferry in Westchester county, subject to the limitations imposed by sections 1624 and 1684 of the vehicle and traffic law, may by local law, ordinance, order, rule or regulation establish maximum speed limits at not less than twenty miles per hour on village roads throughout such village. ยง 2. This act shall take effect immediately. EXPLANATION--Matter in ITALICS (underscored) is new; matter in brackets [ ] is old law to be omitted. LBD14065-02-9
