 AN  ACT  to  amend  the  public  health  law, in relation to designating
   certain opiates as schedule I and II substances; and to repeal certain
   provisions of such law relating thereto

   THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND  ASSEM-
 BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:
 
   Section 1. Subdivision (b) of schedule I of section 3306 of the public
 health  law  is  amended by adding three new paragraphs 58, 59 and 60 to
 read as follows:
   (58) N-(1-PHENETHYLPIPERDIN-4-YL)-N-PHENYLFURAN-2-CARBOXAMIDE (FURANYL
 FENTANYL).
   (59) N-PHENYL-N-{1-(2-PHENYLETHYL)-4-PIPERIDINYL}-PENTANAMIDE (VALERYL
 FENTANYL, PENTANOYL FENTANYL, PENTANYL FENTANYL).
   (60) U-47700(3,4-DICHLORO-N-(2-(DIMETHYLAMINO)CYCLOHEXYL)-N-METHYL-BEN-
 ZAMIDE)YL.
   § 2. Subdivision (c) of schedule II of  section  3306  of  the  public
 health law is amended by adding a new paragraph 29 to read as follows:
   (29) 4-(METHOXYCARBONYL)-4-(N-PHENMETHOXYACETAMIDO)-1-{2-(THIENYL)
 ETHYL}PIPERIDINE(THIAFENTANIL).
   §  3. Paragraph 6 of subdivision (c) of schedule II of section 3306 of
 the public health law is REPEALED.
   § 4. This act shall take effect immediately.
