BILL NUMBER: S195 SPONSOR: ORTT TITLE OF BILL: An act authorizing the town of Pendleton, county of Niagara, to reduce the maximum speed limit along a certain portion of Mapleton Road in such town to 45 miles per hour PURPOSE OR GENERAL IDEA OF BILL: This legislation authorizes the town of Pendleton to lower the speed limit on Mapleton Road to 45 miles per hour. SUMMARY OF SPECIFIC PROVISIONS: Section 1 authorizes the town of Pendleton to establish a maximum speed limit of not less than 45 miles per hour along Mapleton Road from the intersection with Campbell Boulevard through and including the inter- section with Townline Road. Section 2 is the effective date.

ORTT -- read twice and ordered printed, and when printed to be committed to the Committee on Local Government AN ACT authorizing the town of Pendleton, county of Niagara, to reduce the maximum speed limit along a certain portion of Mapleton Road in such town to 45 miles per hour THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM- BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Notwithstanding any general, special or local law or code to the contrary, the town board of the town of Pendleton, Niagara coun- ty, may by local law, ordinance, order, rule or regulation establish maximum speed limits at not less than forty-five miles per hour along Mapleton Road from the intersection with Campbell Boulevard through and including the intersection with Townline Road. § 2. This act shall take effect immediately. EXPLANATION--Matter in ITALICS (underscored) is new; matter in brackets [ ] is old law to be omitted. LBD02440-01-9
