BILL NUMBER: S3092 SPONSOR: RANZENHOFER TITLE OF BILL: An act to amend the environmental conservation law, in relation to decreasing certain hunting fees for non-resident disabled veterans PURPOSE OR GENERAL IDEA OF BILL: To reduce the hunting and fishing fees for nonresident disabled veterans SUMMARY OF SPECIFIC PROVISIONS: Section 1 - amends paragraph b of subdivision 3 of section 11-0715 of the Environmental Conservation Law to add a new category of nonresident disabled veteran hunting license, and provide for a fee of $5, a new category of nonresident disabled veteran fishing license and provide for a fee of $5 and a new category of nonresident disabled veteran bowhunt- ing and provide for a fee of $4.

RANZENHOFER, GALLIVAN -- read twice and ordered printed, and when printed to be committed to the Committee on Environ- mental Conservation AN ACT to amend the environmental conservation law, in relation to decreasing certain hunting fees for non-resident disabled veterans THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM- BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Paragraph b of subdivision 3 of section 11-0715 of the environmental conservation law, as amended by chapter 276 of the laws of 2013 and subparagraph 3 as amended by section 25 of part EE of chapter 55 of the laws of 2014, is amended to read as follows: b. In the case of a non-resident and persons resident in the state for less than thirty days: License Fee (1) (a) Hunting $100.00 (b) Hunting ages fifteen and under $5.00 (C) HUNTING FOR A PERSON WHO HAS BEEN HONORABLY DISCHARGED FROM SERVICE IN THE ARMED FORCES OF THE UNITED STATES AND IS CERTIFIED AS HAVING A FORTY PERCENT OR GREATER SERVICE-CONNECTED DISABILITY $5.00 (2) (A) Fishing $50.00 (B) FISHING FOR A PERSON WHO HAS BEEN HONORABLY DISCHARGED FROM SERVICE IN THE ARMED FORCES OF THE UNITED STATES AND IS CERTIFIED AS HAVING A FORTY PERCENT OR GREATER SERVICE-CONNECTED DISABILITY $5.00 (3) Seven-day fishing $28.00 (4)(a) Trapping $275.00 EXPLANATION--Matter in ITALICS (underscored) is new; matter in brackets [ ] is old law to be omitted.
