BILL NUMBER: S3453 SPONSOR: BIAGGI TITLE OF BILL: An act to amend the labor law, in relation to the model sexual harassment prevention guidance document and sexual harass- ment prevention policy PURPOSE OR GENERAL IDEA OF BILL: To evaluate and update as needed the model sexual harassment prevention guidance document and the model sexual harassment prevention policy in conjunction with the division of human rights starting in 2022 and every four years thereafter. SUMMARY OF SPECIFIC PROVISIONS: Section 1 amends section 201-g of the labor law by adding a new subdivi- sion 4, where starting in 2022, and every four years thereafter, in conjunction with the division of human rights, the department shall evaluate the impact of the current model sexual harassment prevention guidance document and sexual harassment prevention policy and update the

BIAGGI -- read twice and ordered printed, and when printed to be committed to the Committee on Labor AN ACT to amend the labor law, in relation to the model sexual harass- ment prevention guidance document and sexual harassment prevention policy THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM- BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Section 201-g of the labor law is amended by adding a new subdivision 4 to read as follows: 4. BEGINNING IN THE YEAR TWO THOUSAND TWENTY-TWO, AND EVERY SUCCEEDING FOUR YEARS THEREAFTER, THE DEPARTMENT IN CONSULTATION WITH THE DIVISION OF HUMAN RIGHTS SHALL EVALUATE, USING THE CRITERIA WITHIN THIS SECTION, THE IMPACT OF THE CURRENT MODEL SEXUAL HARASSMENT PREVENTION GUIDANCE DOCUMENT AND SEXUAL HARASSMENT PREVENTION POLICY. UPON THE COMPLETION OF EACH EVALUATION THE DEPARTMENT SHALL UPDATE THE MODEL SEXUAL HARASS- MENT PREVENTION GUIDANCE DOCUMENT AND SEXUAL HARASSMENT PREVENTION POLI- CY AS NEEDED. § 2.
