BILL NUMBER: S7045 SPONSOR: METZGER TITLE OF BILL: An act to amend the state law, in relation to designating lactarius peckii as the official state fungus of the state PURPOSE: The purpose of this legislation is to designate a state fungus. SUMMARY OF PROVISIONS: Section 1 - State law is amended by adding a new section 92 to designate the Lactarius peckii as the official fungus of the state. METZGER -- read twice and ordered printed, and when printed to be committed to the Committee on Investigations and Govern- ment Operations AN ACT to amend the state law, in relation to designating lactarius peckii as the official state fungus of the state THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM- BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. The state law is amended by adding a new section 92 to read as follows: § 92. STATE FUNGUS. THE LACTARIUS PECKII SHALL BE THE OFFICIAL STATE FUNGUS OF THE STATE. § 2.
