BILL NUMBER: S778 SPONSOR: MONTGOMERY TITLE OF BILL: An act to amend the state finance law, in relation to the school-based health centers fund PURPOSE: This bill creates a personal income tax check-off box for donations to the school-based health centers fund. Contributions shall be made in whole dollar amounts. Such funds shall be deposited in the "school-based health centers fund" in the custody of the Comptroller to be used by the Department of Health to fund expansion of medical services at existing school based health sites orto establish new sites. SUMMARY OF PROVISIONS: The tax law is amended by adding a new section 630-f to allow state tax payers to contribute to school-based health centers on their state tax

MONTGOMERY -- read twice and ordered printed, and when printed to be committed to the Committee on Finance AN ACT to amend the state finance law, in relation to the school-based health centers fund THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM- BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Section 99-bb of the state finance law, as added by chapter 293 of the laws of 2018, is renumbered section 99-ff. § 2. The closing paragraph of subdivision 7 of section 99-ff of the state finance law, as added by chapter 293 of the laws of 2018 and such section as renumbered by section one of this act, is amended to read as follows: Services shall be provided [on-site] by a [multi-disciplinary team consisting of a mid-level practitioner, a mental health counselor, and a medical assistant in consultation with a physician. The centers shall also provide access to health care twenty-four hours per day, seven days per week] SCHOOL-BASED HEALTH CENTER LICENSED UNDER ARTICLE TWENTY-EIGHT OF THE PUBLIC HEALTH LAW OR SPONSORED BY A FACILITY LICENSED UNDER THE PUBLIC HEALTH LAW AND APPROVED TO OPERATE BY THE NEW YORK STATE DEPART- MENT OF HEALTH. § 3.
