   printed to be committed to the Committee on Local Government
 
 AN ACT relating to authorizing local code enforcement officers to  issue
   blanket  orders  to extend the expiration date for all active building
   permits for a period of up to 120 days
 
   THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND  ASSEM-
 BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:
 
   Section  1. Notwithstanding section 1202.2 of title 19 of the New York
 State code, rules and regulations, local code enforcement  officers  may
 issue blanket orders extending the expiration date for all active build-
 ing  permits for a period of up to but not exceeding 120 days beyond the
 expiration date stated in the permit. Additionally, local zoning  boards
 of  appeals and local planning boards may issue blanket orders extending
 the expiration date for all outstanding active approvals for a period of
 up to but not exceeding 120 days.
   § 2. This act shall take effect immediately.

 Introduced by Sens. GAUGHRAN, METZGER -- read twice and ordered printed,
   and  when printed to be committed to the Committee on Local Government
   -- committee discharged, bill amended, ordered  reprinted  as  amended
   and recommitted to said committee
 
 AN  ACT  relating  to  authorizing  local governments to extend building
   permits and local zoning boards of appeals and local  planning  boards
   active approvals for a period of up to 120 days; and providing for the
   repeal of such provisions upon the expiration thereof
 
   THE  PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM-
 BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:
 
   Section 1. For the duration of the state disaster  emergency  declared
 pursuant  to  executive order 202 of 2020, local governments may, acting
 pursuant to a single resolution, extend for a period of up to  120  days
 beyond the stated expiration date:
   1. building permits issued before March 7, 2020; and
   2.  local  zoning  boards  of appeals and local planning boards active
 approvals issued before March 7, 2020.
   § 2. This act shall take effect immediately and shall  expire  and  be
 deemed repealed December 31, 2021.
