SIMPSON -- read once and referred to the Commit- tee on Tourism, Parks, Arts and Sports Development AN ACT to amend the parks, recreation and historic preservation law, in relation to providing a fifty percent discount for state residents on admission fees to parks, recreational facilities or historic sites operated by the state office of parks, recreation and historic preser- vation for the 2022 season; and providing for the repeal of such provisions upon expiration thereof THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM- BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Section 13.15 of the parks, recreation and historic pres- ervation law is amended by adding a new subdivision 3-a to read as follows: 3-A. NOTWITHSTANDING THE PROVISIONS OF SUBDIVISIONS THREE AND FOUR OF THIS SECTION OR OF ANY OTHER PROVISION TO THE CONTRARY, EACH RESIDENT OF THE STATE SHALL BE ENTITLED TO A DISCOUNT OF FIFTY PERCENT OFF TWO THOU- SAND TWENTY-TWO ADMISSION FEES, AS PUBLISHED BY APRIL FIRST, TWO THOU- SAND TWENTY-TWO, THAT SUCH RESIDENT WOULD OTHERWISE HAVE BEEN RESPONSI- BLE FOR PAYING TO OBTAIN ENTRY TO ANY PARK, RECREATIONAL FACILITY OR HISTORIC SITE. § 2. This act shall take effect immediately and shall apply only to entry fees charged during 2022; provided that this act shall expire and be deemed repealed October 15, 2022.
