Fitzpatrick) -- read once and referred to the Committee on Local Governments AN ACT to amend chapter 397 of the laws of 1996, relating to authorizing the town of Islip to lease certain lands to a business corporation, in relation to the lease term THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM- BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Subdivision (a) of section 1 of chapter 397 of the laws of 1996, relating to authorizing the town of Islip to lease certain lands to a business corporation, as amended by chapter 303 of the laws of 2012, is amended to read as follows: (a) The town of Islip, in the county of Suffolk, is hereby authorized and empowered to extend the terms of a lease between the town and a business corporation dated July 30, 1996 that was authorized by chapter 397 of the laws of 1996 on the lands described in chapter 397 of the laws of 1996 for up to [ten] TWENTY-SIX additional years from the date of its expiration. § 2. This act shall take effect immediately. EXPLANATION--Matter in ITALICS (underscored) is new; matter in brackets [ ] is old law to be omitted. LBD15707-01-2

Section 1 of chapter 397 of the laws of 1996, relating to authorizing the town of Islip to lease certain lands to a business corporation, is amended by adding a new subdivision (a-1) to read as follows: (A-1) THE TOWN OF ISLIP, IN THE COUNTY OF SUFFOLK, IS HEREBY AUTHOR- IZED AND EMPOWERED TO EXTEND THE TERMS OF A LEASE BETWEEN THE TOWN AND A BUSINESS CORPORATION DATED JULY 30, 1996 THAT WAS AUTHORIZED BY CHAPTER 397 OF THE LAWS OF 1996 ON THE LANDS DESCRIBED IN CHAPTER 397 OF THE LAWS OF 1996 FOR UP TO TEN YEARS IN ADDITION TO THE TEN-YEAR EXTENSION AUTHORIZED UNDER SUBDIVISION (A) OF THIS SECTION. § 2.
