S T A T E O F N E W Y O R K ________________________________________________________________________ 10660 I N A S S E M B L Y August 12, 2022 ___________ Introduced by COMMITTEE ON RULES -- (at request of M. of A. Wallace) -- read once and referred to the Committee on Local Governments AN ACT to amend the general municipal law, in relation to fees charged by municipal industrial development agencies THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM- BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Section 856 of the general municipal law is amended by adding a new subdivision 5 to read as follows: 5. EACH AGENCY ESTABLISHED TO BENEFIT A MUNICIPALITY WHICH IS NOT A COUNTY, WHICH IS LOCATED WHOLLY WITHIN A COUNTY WHICH HAS AN AGENCY ESTABLISHED TO BENEFIT SUCH COUNTY, SHALL CHARGE THE SAME FEES AS THE AGENCY ESTABLISHED TO BENEFIT THE COUNTY IN WHICH THE MUNICIPALITY IS LOCATED AND SHALL NOT CHARGE ANY FEES BESIDES THOSE WHICH ARE CHARGED BY THE AGENCY ESTABLISHED TO BENEFIT THE COUNTY IN WHICH THE MUNICIPALITY IS LOCATED. § 2. This act shall take effect on the ninetieth day after it shall have become a law and shall apply to projects for which applications were submitted on or after such effective date.
