 AN  ACT  to  amend  the education law, in relation to authorizing school
   districts to use school transportation aid to pay  for  the  cost  and
   expenses  of transporting and delivering meals, homework materials and
   any other school materials to students during the COVID-19 pandemic
 
   THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND  ASSEM-
 BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:
 
   Section  1. Section 3622-a of the education law is amended by adding a
 new subdivision 8 to read as follows:
   8. NOTWITHSTANDING ANY OTHER PROVISION OF LAW  TO  THE  CONTRARY,  THE
 TRANSPORTATION  OF MEALS,  EDUCATIONAL MATERIALS, AND ANY OTHER  SCHOOL-
 RELATED  MATERIALS FOR THE PERIOD THAT BEGAN WITH THE DECLARATION OF THE
 STATE OF EMERGENCY DECLARED AS A RESULT OF THE  COVID-19  PANDEMIC  THAT
 WAS  EXECUTED  IN  EXECUTIVE  ORDER  TWO HUNDRED TWO THAT BEGAN ON MARCH
 SEVENTH, TWO THOUSAND TWENTY.
   § 2. Paragraph e of subdivision 1 of section 3623-a of  the  education
 law is amended by adding a new subparagraph 12 to read as follows:
   (12)  NOTWITHSTANDING  ANY OTHER PROVISION OF LAW TO THE CONTRARY, THE
 TRANSPORTATION  OF MEALS,  EDUCATIONAL MATERIALS, AND ANY OTHER  SCHOOL-
 RELATED MATERIALS FOR THE PERIOD THAT BEGAN WITH THE DECLARATION OF  THE
 STATE  OF  EMERGENCY  DECLARED AS A RESULT OF THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC THAT
 WAS EXECUTED IN EXECUTIVE ORDER TWO HUNDRED  TWO  THAT  BEGAN  ON  MARCH
 SEVENTH, TWO THOUSAND TWENTY.
   § 3. This act shall take effect immediately.
