WALSH -- read once and referred to the Committee on Health AN ACT to amend section 3 of chapter 89 of the laws of 2021 amending the public health law and the social services law relating to personal and compassionate caregiving visitors for residents of nursing homes, in relation to the effectiveness thereof THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM- BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Section 3 of chapter 89 of the laws of 2021 amending the public health law and the social services law relating to personal and compassionate caregiving visitors for residents of nursing homes, is amended to read as follows: § 3. This act shall take effect [on the forty-fifth day after it shall have become a law. Effective immediately, the addition, amendment and/or repeal of any rule or regulation necessary for the implementation of this act on its effective date are authorized to be made and completed on or before such date] IMMEDIATELY. § 2. This act shall take effect immediately. EXPLANATION--Matter in ITALICS (underscored) is new; matter in brackets [ ] is old law to be omitted. LBD10756-01-1
