OTIS -- read once and referred to the Committee on Governmental Operations AN ACT to amend the public officers law, in relation to expanding the public's ability to observe public bodies' meetings THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM- BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Subdivision (c) of section 103 of the public officers law, as added by chapter 289 of the laws of 2000, is amended to read as follows: (c) A public body that uses videoconferencing to conduct its meetings shall provide an opportunity for the public to attend, listen and observe IN REAL TIME VIA BROADCAST, WEBCAST, OR OTHERWISE AND at any PUBLIC site at which a member participates. § 2. This act shall take effect immediately. EXPLANATION--Matter in ITALICS (underscored) is new; matter in brackets [ ] is old law to be omitted. LBD03987-01-1
