 AN  ACT  to  amend  the  estates, powers and trusts law, the surrogate's
   court procedure act, the banking  law,  the  civil  practice  law  and
   rules, the not-for-profit corporation law, the abandoned property law,
   the  general  obligations  law,  the mental hygiene law and the social
   services law, in relation to establishing a new  trust  code;  and  to
   repeal  parts 1, 2, 3, 5 and 8 of article 7 of the estates, powers and
   trusts law, relating thereto
 
   THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND  ASSEM-
 BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:
 
   Section  1.  The estates, powers and trusts law is amended by adding a
 new article 7-A to read as follows:

                            NEW YORK TRUST CODE
 
                            PART 1. IN GENERAL
 SECTION 7-A-1.1  SHORT TITLE.
         7-A-1.2  SCOPE.
         7-A-1.3  PURCHASE-MONEY RESULTING TRUST ABOLISHED.

         7-A-1.5  KNOWLEDGE.
         7-A-1.6  DEFAULT AND MANDATORY RULES.
         7-A-1.7  COMMON LAW AND PRINCIPLES OF EQUITY.
         7-A-1.8  GOVERNING LAW.
         7-A-1.9  PRINCIPAL PLACE OF ADMINISTRATION.
         7-A-1.10 METHODS AND WAIVER OF NOTICE.
         7-A-1.11 OTHERS TREATED AS QUALIFIED BENEFICIARIES.
         7-A-1.12 NONJUDICIAL SETTLEMENT AGREEMENTS.
