PAULIN, PICHARDO, SIMON -- read once and referred to the Committee on Election Law AN ACT to amend the election law, in relation to websites maintained by a board of elections THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM- BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. The election law is amended by adding a new section 3-228 to read as follows: § 3-228. BOARD OF ELECTIONS WEBSITES. ANY BOARD OF ELECTIONS WHICH MAINTAINS A WEBSITE SHALL USE A ".GOV" DOMAIN NAME FOR SUCH WEBSITE. § 2. This act shall take effect one year after it shall have become a law. EXPLANATION--Matter in ITALICS (underscored) is new; matter in brackets [ ] is old law to be omitted. LBD02133-01-1

PAULIN, SIMON -- read once and referred to the Committee on Election Law -- recommitted to the Committee on Election Law in accordance with Assembly Rule 3, sec. 2 -- committee discharged, bill amended, ordered reprinted as amended and recommitted to said committee AN ACT to amend the county law, the municipal home rule law and the election law, in relation to websites maintained by a county or a board of elections THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM- BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. The county law is amended by adding a new section 55 to read as follows: § 55. COUNTY WEBSITES. ANY COUNTY WHICH MAINTAINS A WEBSITE SHALL USE A ".GOV" DOMAIN NAME FOR SUCH WEBSITE. § 2. The municipal home rule law is amended by adding a new section 35-a to read as follows: § 35-A. COUNTY WEBSITES. ANY COUNTY OPERATING UNDER A COUNTY CHARTER AS DEFINED IN SECTION THIRTY-TWO OF THIS PART WHICH MAINTAINS A WEBSITE SHALL USE A ".GOV" DOMAIN NAME FOR SUCH WEBSITE. § 3. The election law is amended by adding a new section 3-228 to read as follows: § 3-228. BOARD OF ELECTIONS WEBSITES.
