 AN ACT to amend the  environmental  conservation  law,  in  relation  to
   prohibiting the sale of gasoline powered leaf blowers and lawn mowers
 
   THE  PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM-
 BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:
 
   Section 1. The environmental conservation law is amended by  adding  a
 new section 19-0306-c to read as follows:
 § 19-0306-C. SALE OF CERTAIN GAS-POWERED LAWN CARE DEVICES PROHIBITED.
   THE  COMMISSIONER  SHALL  PROMULGATE RULES AND REGULATIONS WHICH SHALL
 PROHIBIT THE SALE OF GASOLINE POWERED LEAF BLOWERS AND  LAWN  MOWERS  IN
 THE STATE BY JANUARY FIRST, TWO THOUSAND TWENTY-THREE.
   § 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
