 AN ACT to amend the workers' compensation law, in relation to  requiring
   the  workers'  compensation  board  to provide translations of certain
   documents and forms
 
   THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND  ASSEM-
 BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:

   Section  1. Subdivision 1 of section 17-a of the workers' compensation
 law, as added by a chapter of the laws of  2021  amending  the  workers'
 compensation  law  relating  to  providing  language access services, as
 proposed in legislative bills  numbers  S.  1022-A  and  A.  6466-A,  is
 amended to read as follows:
   1.  The board shall provide translation of (A) all documents and forms
 [used by or issued to injured employees] PUBLISHED  BY  THE  BOARD  THAT
 INJURED  EMPLOYEES  COMPLETE;  AND  (B) ALL BOARD DOCUMENTS THAT PROVIDE
 GENERAL INFORMATION TO INJURED EMPLOYEES ON THE PROCESS OF APPLYING  FOR
 WORKERS' COMPENSATION BENEFITS. The translation shall be in the ten most
 common  non-English languages spoken by individuals with limited-English
 proficiency in the state of New York.
   § 2. This act shall take effect on the  same  date  and  in  the  same
 manner  as  a chapter of laws of 2021 amending the workers' compensation
 law relating to providing  language  access  services,  as  proposed  in
 legislative bills numbers S. 1022-A and A. 6466-A, takes effect.
