BILL NUMBER: S1390 SPONSOR: BROOKS TITLE OF BILL: An act in relation to authorizing Paul Nehrich to be considered a "veteran" for real property taxation purposes PURPOSE: The purpose of this bill is to grant Mr. Paul Nehrich the Alternative Veterans Exemption for real property taxation purposes. SUMMARY OF PROVISIONS: Section 1. provides that Paul Nehrich shall be considered a "veteran" for the purposes of the veterans alternative exemption as defined by the real property tax law. Section 2. is the enacting clause.

BROOKS -- read twice and ordered printed, and when printed to be committed to the Committee on Veterans, Homeland Securi- ty and Military Affairs AN ACT in relation to authorizing Paul Nehrich to be considered a "veteran" for real property taxation purposes THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM- BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Notwithstanding any other provision of law to the contrary, Paul Nehrich, of Freeport, New York, shall be considered a "veteran" for the purposes of paragraph (e) of subdivision 1 of section 458-a of the real property tax law. § 2. This act shall take effect immediately. EXPLANATION--Matter in ITALICS (underscored) is new; matter in brackets [ ] is old law to be omitted. LBD03527-01-1
