BILL NUMBER: S3969 SPONSOR: SERINO TITLE OF BILL: An act to repeal section 581-d of the labor law, relating to the inter- est assessment surcharge PURPOSE: To abolish the interest assessment surcharge on employers intending to pay off state debt. SUMMARY OF PROVISIONS: Section 1: Repeals Section 581-d of the Labor Law, which provides for the interest assessment surcharge Section 2: Provides the effective date.

Section 581-d of the labor law is REPEALED. § 2. This act shall take effect immediately. EXPLANATION--Matter in ITALICS (underscored) is new; matter in brackets [ ] is old law to be omitted.
