BILL NUMBER: S4311 SPONSOR: LANZA TITLE OF BILL: An act to amend the public officers law, in relation to making agency payroll records available PURPOSE: To ensure that the names, titles, salaries and public office addresses of public employees are clearly accessible to the public. SUMMARY OF PROVISIONS: Section one amends subdivision three of section eighty-seven of the public officers law to clarify that notwithstanding any other provision in article six, each agency shall maintain and make available the records specified in subdivision three. LANZA -- read twice and ordered printed, and when printed to be committed to the Committee on Investigations and Govern- ment Operations AN ACT to amend the public officers law, in relation to making agency payroll records available THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM- BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. The opening paragraph of subdivision 3 of section 87 of the public officers law, as added by chapter 933 of the laws of 1977, is amended to read as follows: [Each] NOTWITHSTANDING ANY OTHER PROVISION IN THIS ARTICLE, EACH agen- cy shall maintain AND MAKE AVAILABLE: § 2.
