 Introduced  by  Sen. MATTERA -- read twice and ordered printed, and when
   printed to be committed to the Committee on Transportation
 
 AN ACT to amend the highway  law,  in  relation  to  the  limitation  on
   certain highway expenses in the town of Smithtown, Suffolk county
 
   THE  PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM-
 BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:
 
   Section 1. Subparagraph 1-e of paragraph a of subdivision 3 of section
 271 of the highway law, as added by chapter 500 of the laws of 1994,  is
 amended to read as follows:
   (1-e)  [Eight] ONE MILLION TWO hundred thousand dollars in the town of
 Smithtown in Suffolk county.
   § 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
