BILL NUMBER: S4648 SPONSOR: REICHLIN-MELNICK TITLE OF BILL: An act expanding eligibility for a COVID-19 vaccine to residents employed outside of New York PURPOSE: To ensure residents employed outside of the state will be eligible to receive the COVID19 vaccine. SUMMARY OF PROVISIONS: Section one provides that any state resident whose employment would qualify them to receive the COVID-19 vaccine will be eligible for the vaccine even if they are employed outside of the state. Section two provides the effective date.

REICHLIN-MELNICK -- read twice and ordered printed, and when printed to be committed to the Committee on Health AN ACT expanding eligibility for a COVID-19 vaccine to residents employed outside of New York THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM- BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Every resident of New York state who is eligible to receive a COVID-19 vaccine based on his or her place of employment or occupation shall be eligible to receive a COVID-19 vaccine regardless of whether such New York state resident is employed outside of the state of New York. § 2. This act shall take effect immediately. EXPLANATION--Matter in ITALICS (underscored) is new; matter in brackets [ ] is old law to be omitted. LBD09412-01-1
