BILL NUMBER: S5067 SPONSOR: HOYLMAN TITLE OF BILL: An act to require that any disposition of land or buildings by the New York City Housing Authority be subject to and comply with the provisions of New York City's Uniform Land Use Review Procedure SUMMARY OF PROVISIONS: Section 1 of the bill titles the bill the "NYCHA Infill Public Review Act." Section 2 of the bill states that any disposition of land or buildings by the New York City Housing Authority (NYCHA) is subject to and must comply with the provisions of New York City's Uniform Land Use Review Procedures (ULURP) in addition to the provisions of section 18 of the U.S. Housing Act of 1937. This section further clarifies that the ULURP requirement does not apply to the conversion of proper under the owner- ship, management or control of NYCHA to section 8 of the U.S. Housing Act of 1937.

HOYLMAN -- read twice and ordered printed, and when printed to be committed to the Committee on Cities 1 AN ACT to require that any disposition of land or buildings by the New York City Housing Authority be subject to and comply with the provisions of New York City's Uniform Land Use Review Procedure THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM- BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. This act shall be known and may be cited as the "NYCHA infill public review act". § 2. Notwithstanding any law, rule or regulation to the contrary, any disposition of land or buildings by the New York City Housing Authority shall be subject to and shall comply with the provisions of New York City's Uniform Land Use Review Procedure in addition to the provisions of section 18 of the U.S. Housing Act of 1937. This act shall not apply to the conversion of property under the ownership, management or control of the New York City Housing Authority to section eight of the United States housing act of 1937. § 3. This act shall take effect immediately. EXPLANATION--Matter in ITALICS (underscored) is new; matter in brackets [ ] is old law to be omitted. LBD09704-02-1
