 Introduced  by Sen. HARCKHAM -- read twice and ordered printed, and when
   printed to be committed to the Committee on Local Government
 
 AN ACT to amend the real property tax  law,  in  relation  to  including
   certain spent fuel rods within the definition of real property
 
   THE  PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM-
 BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:

   Section 1. Paragraph (j) of subdivision 12 of section 102 of the  real
 property  tax  law,  as  added  by  chapter  385 of the laws of 2020, is
 amended to read as follows:
   (j) Spent fuel RODS, SPENT FUEL pools and dry cask storage systems  in
 which  nuclear  fuel  is stored and is pending further or final disposal
 from a nuclear power station following the permanent cessation of  power
 operations of such station.
   § 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
