BILL NUMBER: S8131 SPONSOR: HARCKHAM TITLE OF BILL: An act in relation to authorizing a study pertaining to traffic flow and safety of State Route 35 and State Route 22 from the Hudson River to the border of Connecticut; and providing for the repeal of such provisions upon expiration thereof PURPOSE: Authorizes the department of transportation to conduct a study pertain- ing to safety traffic flow and safety of State Route 35 and State Route 22 from the Hudson River to the border of Connecticut SUMMARY OF PROVISIONS: Section 1 authorizes the department of transportation to conduct a study of the traffic flow and safety of both State Route 35 and State Route 22 from the Hudson River to the border of Connecticut. HARCKHAM -- read twice and ordered printed, and when printed to be committed to the Committee on Transportation AN ACT in relation to authorizing a study pertaining to traffic flow and safety of State Route 35 and State Route 22 from the Hudson River to the border of Connecticut; and providing for the repeal of such provisions upon expiration thereof THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM- BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. The department of transportation is hereby authorized and directed to conduct a study pertaining to traffic flow and safety of State Route 35 and State Route 22 from the Hudson River to the border of Connecticut. 1. The department shall study the current conditions and data to ensure the safe and effective traffic flow of State Route 35 and State Route 22. 2. The department of transportation shall report such findings to the governor and the legislature within one year after the effective date of this act. § 2. This act shall take effect immediately and shall expire one year after it shall have become a law when upon such date the provisions of this act shall be deemed repealed.
