 Introduced  by  Sen.  MYRIE  -- read twice and ordered printed, and when
   printed to be committed to the Committee on Rules
 
 AN ACT to amend the election law, in relation to providing that in 2022,
   the statement of party positions to be filled at  a  primary  election
   shall  be  filed by February 28, 2022; and providing for the repeal of
   such provisions upon the expiration thereof

   THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND  ASSEM-
 BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:
 
   Section  1.  Section  2-120 of the election law is amended by adding a
 new subdivision 1-a to read as follows:
   1-A. NOTWITHSTANDING  THE  TIME  FIXED  IN  SUBDIVISION  ONE  OF  THIS
 SECTION,  FOR  THE YEAR TWO THOUSAND TWENTY-TWO, SUCH STATEMENT REQUIRED
 TO BE FILED BY SUCH SUBDIVISION SHALL BE FILED NO  LATER  THAN  FEBRUARY
 TWENTY-EIGHTH, TWO THOUSAND TWENTY-TWO.
   §  2.  This  act shall take effect immediately and shall expire and be
 deemed repealed December 31, 2022.
