   printed to be committed to the Committee on Higher Education
 
 AN  ACT  to amend part U of chapter 56 of the laws of 2018, amending the
   education law relating to  requiring  regulations  to  permit  tuition
   waivers  for  certain  firefighters  and  fire  officers  for CUNY, in
   relation to the effectiveness thereof

   THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND  ASSEM-
 BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:
 
   Section  1.  Section  2  of  part U of chapter 56 of the laws of 2018,
 amending the education law relating to requiring regulations  to  permit
 tuition  waivers for certain firefighters and fire officers for CUNY, as
 amended by section 1 of item LL of subpart B of part XXX of  chapter  58
 of the laws of 2020, is amended to read as follows:
   §  2.  This  act shall take effect immediately and shall expire and be
 deemed repealed July 1, [2022] 2024.
