S T A T E O F N E W Y O R K ________________________________________________________________________ 10419 I N A S S E M B L Y May 24, 2024 ___________ Introduced by COMMITTEE ON RULES -- (at request of M. of A. Solages) -- read once and referred to the Committee on Health AN ACT to amend the public health law, in relation to the frequency of submission of community health assessment reporting THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM- BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Subdivision 1 of section 602-a of the public health law, as added by section 17 of part E of chapter 56 of the laws of 2013, is amended to read as follows: 1. Every municipality shall submit to the department [no more frequently than every two years,] a community health assessment IN ALIGNMENT WITH THE STATE HEALTH IMPROVEMENT PLAN CYCLE AND NO MORE FREQUENTLY THAN EVERY SIX YEARS. § 2. This act shall take effect immediately. EXPLANATION--Matter in ITALICS (underscored) is new; matter in brackets [ ] is old law to be omitted. LBD15288-01-4
