S T A T E O F N E W Y O R K ________________________________________________________________________ 10535 I N A S S E M B L Y June 3, 2024 ___________ Introduced by COMMITTEE ON RULES -- (at request of M. of A. McDonald) -- read once and referred to the Committee on Local Governments AN ACT to amend the town law, in relation to the powers and duties of fire district commissioners THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM- BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Subdivision 18 of section 176 of the town law is amended by adding a new undesignated paragraph to read as follows: THE FOREGOING LIMITATION ON EXPENDITURES SHALL NOT BE APPLICABLE TO LEASE PAYMENTS MADE BY THE EAST GREENBUSH FIRE DISTRICT IN RENSSELAER COUNTY FOR REAL PROPERTY. § 2. This act shall take effect immediately. EXPLANATION--Matter in ITALICS (underscored) is new; matter in brackets [ ] is old law to be omitted. LBD15821-01-4
