BLANKENBUSH, ANGELINO, BRABENEC, BYRNES, McDO- NOUGH, MILLER, SMULLEN -- read once and referred to the Committee on Transportation AN ACT to amend the vehicle and traffic law, in relation to requiring that antique, classic or collectors cars be inspected for safety bien- nially instead of annually THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM- BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Section 301 of the vehicle and traffic law is amended by adding a new subdivision (g) to read as follows: (G) NOTWITHSTANDING ANY OTHER PROVISION OF LAW TO THE CONTRARY, CLAS- SIC, ANTIQUE OR COLLECTORS VEHICLES SHALL BE INSPECTED FOR SAFETY BIEN- NIALLY IN ACCORDANCE WITH ALL OTHER APPLICABLE LAW. § 2. This act shall take effect immediately. EXPLANATION--Matter in ITALICS (underscored) is new; matter in brackets [ ] is old law to be omitted. LBD05164-01-3
