 AN ACT to amend the public service law, in  relation  to  requiring  gas
   corporations and electric corporations in this state to file quarterly
   reports with the legislature regarding infrastructure upgrades

   THE  PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM-
 BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:
 
   Section 1. The public service law is amended by adding a  new  section
 73-b to read as follows:
   §  73-B. INFRASTRUCTURE UPGRADES; QUARTERLY REPORTS TO LEGISLATURE. 1.
 ON OR BEFORE OCTOBER FIRST, TWO THOUSAND TWENTY-THREE AND ON  OR  BEFORE
 EVERY JANUARY FIRST, APRIL FIRST, JULY FIRST AND OCTOBER FIRST THEREAFT-
 ER,  EVERY  GAS CORPORATION AND ELECTRIC CORPORATION IN THIS STATE SHALL
 FILE A REPORT WITH THE LEGISLATURE SETTING FORTH:
   (A) THE SCOPE AND NATURE OF ALL UPGRADES TO THE INFRASTRUCTURE OF SUCH
 CORPORATION COMPLETED DURING THE PREVIOUS QUARTERLY PERIOD;
   (B) THE STATUS OF ANY ONGOING UPGRADES TO THE INFRASTRUCTURE  OF  SUCH
 CORPORATION AND THE SCOPE AND NATURE OF SUCH UPGRADE; AND
   (C)  THE  STATUS  REGARDING THE PLANNING AND DEVELOPMENT OF ANY FUTURE
 UPGRADES TO THE INFRASTRUCTURE OF SUCH CORPORATION  AND  THE  SCOPE  AND
 NATURE OF SUCH UPGRADE.
   2.  SUCH REPORT SHALL SET FORTH IN DETAIL INFRASTRUCTURE UPGRADES WITH
 RESPECT  TO  INFRASTRUCTURE  HARDENING,  STORM  RESILIENCE  AND  CLIMATE
 CHANGE.
   § 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
