 AN ACT to amend the legislative law, in relation to  annual  reports  by
   lobbyists  disclosing  clients that they advocated on behalf of before
   any state or local governmental entity

   THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND  ASSEM-
 BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:
 
   Section 1. The legislative law is amended by adding a new section 1-jj
 to read as follows:
   §  1-JJ. ANNUAL REPORTS. (A) ANY LOBBYIST REQUIRED TO FILE A STATEMENT
 OF REGISTRATION PURSUANT TO SECTION ONE-E OF THIS  ARTICLE,  SHALL  FILE
 WITH  THE  COMMISSION AN ANNUAL WRITTEN REPORT, ON FORMS SUPPLIED BY THE
 COMMISSION, BY THE FIFTEENTH DAY OF JANUARY NEXT FOLLOWING THE YEAR  FOR
 WHICH  SUCH  REPORT  IS  MADE,  DISCLOSING ALL CLIENTS FOR EACH PREVIOUS
 CALENDAR YEAR THAT THEY ADVOCATED ON BEHALF OF BEFORE ANY STATE OR LOCAL
 GOVERNMENTAL ENTITY.
   (B) THE ANNUAL REPORT SHALL CONTAIN:
   (1) THE NAME, ADDRESS AND TELEPHONE NUMBER OF THE LOBBYIST; AND
   (2) THE NAME, ADDRESS AND TELEPHONE NUMBER OF THE CLIENT BY WHOM OR ON
 WHOSE BEHALF THE LOBBYIST IS RETAINED, EMPLOYED OR DESIGNATED.
   § 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
