 AN  ACT  to  amend  the  administrative code of the city of New York, in
   relation to terminal leave
 
   THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND  ASSEM-
 BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:

   Section  1. The administrative code of the city of New York is amended
 by adding a new section 9-163 to read as follows:
   § 9-163 TERMINAL LEAVE. NOTWITHSTANDING THE PROVISIONS OF ANY GENERAL,
 SPECIAL OR LOCAL LAW, CODE,  RESOLUTION  OR  CHARTER  TO  THE  CONTRARY,
 UNIFORMED  PERSONNEL OF THE NEW YORK CITY DEPARTMENT OF CORRECTION SHALL
 BE AFFORDED THE OPTION OF TAKING A MONETARY PAYMENT IN LIEU OF  TERMINAL
 LEAVE AT THE RATE APPLICABLE ON THE DATE OF RETIREMENT.
   §  2.  The  administrative  code of the city of New York is amended by
 adding a new section 16-144 to read as follows:
   § 16-144 TERMINAL LEAVE. NOTWITHSTANDING THE PROVISIONS OF ANY  GENER-
 AL,  SPECIAL  OR LOCAL LAW, CODE, RESOLUTION OR CHARTER TO THE CONTRARY,
 UNIFORMED MEMBERS OF THE NEW YORK CITY DEPARTMENT OF SANITATION SHALL BE
 AFFORDED THE OPTION OF TAKING A MONETARY PAYMENT  IN  LIEU  OF  TERMINAL
 LEAVE AT THE RATE APPLICABLE ON THE DATE OF RETIREMENT.
   § 3. This act shall take effect immediately.
